Suit vs. Tux

THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A SUIT AND TUXEDO

The primary physical difference between a tuxedo and a suit is the presence of satin. Typically tuxedos have satin facing on buttons and the most noticeable part a tux, the Lapels.

Since the inception of men’s fashion for formal, casual or business wear, consumers have been bullied into two impractical options, renting or owning a tuxedo.

Consumers in need of a tuxedo for special events have been forced to spend hundreds to thousands of dollars buying a tuxedo or renting a tuxedo.  Many people know they won’t get much use out of tuxedo which in turn will just sit and collect dust in their closet.  Renting an ill-fitting and unhygienic tuxedo for 24 hours for an event, does not make sense.  We as individuals don’t wear used clothing to go to the gym, why would we wear them to the most important days of our lives.  Let it be for your first formal, prom or even your own wedding.

INTRODUCING THE THIRD OPTION

THE LAPEL PROJECT

Invented by our founder, Sebastian Garcia, the Lapel Project, The Lapel Project allows you to convert any suit jacket into a tuxedo in seconds.  As an affordable option to either accessorize your suit or convert it, the lapel project has unlimited array fabrics and designs to choose from.

The Lapel Project is the game-changing fashion accessory that has tuxedo retailers losing sleep at night, it’s a smarter and more convenient alternative for consumers.  No longer a necessity to own, much less rent a tuxedo, the Lapel Project allows you to turn any suit jacket into a tuxedo jacket by simply applying lapels customized from a virtually unlimited range of fabrics and designs of your own choosing.

TRANSFORM ANY SUIT INTO A TUX IN 3 SIMPLE STEPS

2.  Line the Lapel project custom lapels to the exterior of the suit lapel

3.  Fold over the excess of the lapel to the interior of the suit jacket to complete suit jacket's transformation.
